Sun City

Without a doubt Sun City is kitsch, but nevertheless worth a visit, if only a short one. Most interesting to see is the diversity of people on the beach of the ‘Valley of Waves’. This is one of the places where fortunately there is nothing to see anymore of the former race separation. Besides sunbathing on this beach, you could of course also venture a gamble at the casino. Of course you can spend the night here in Sun City. Prices range from reasonable to extremely expensive.

Pilanesberg National Park

Madikwe Game Reserve

This reserve, at 60,000 hectares, is one of the largest reserves of South Africa. With the reintroduction of black rhinoceroses in 1996, the Big Five are complete again here. Accommodation in Madikwe is luxurious, but not cheap.
